 Waskesiu Lake's many beaches provide safe
swimming at a variety of locations. The lake's sandy bottom and gently sloping shore is an
excellent combination for children who want to play along the shoreline as well as the
experienced swimmer who swims for exercise. The main beach, located at the townsite is the
most popular location. Its proximity to accommodations and restaurants, hot water showers,
modern bathrooms, a playground, volleyball courts, ball diamonds and camp kitchens provide
complete facilities for the family to enjoy a day at the beach. Other popular places
include Paignton Beach and the Narrows on the west side of the lake and Birch Bay on the
east side of Waskesiu Lake. The different locations allow beach enthusiasts to enjoy the
water and sun but avoid cooling breezes. |
